He also completed a Level III program in Informatic and Management at Escola Profissional do Centro Juvenil de Campanhã from 1995 to 1998. Additionally, he obtained a CET Level IV in Installation and Maintenance of Networks and Informatic Systems from Universidade da Maia - UMAIA in 2005-2006. Before joining QAD, João Barbosa accumulated significant experience in various IT roles. He worked at TAMET Group as an IT Manager from 2003 to 2008, where he managed the transfer of Sony Technical Assistance Centers to Numeriserv. He also held the position of Support Technical Coordinator at Sage Portugal from 2010 to 2016, where he received a Gold Award in the Sage European Awards in 2014 for implementing Zendesk and Zopim. His earlier experience includes working as IS Support at Manitowoc and as an Interoperability Operations Delivery Manager at QAD.

Throughout his career, João Barbosa has been involved in significant projects and initiatives. At QAD, he played a key role in implementing Jira Service Desk as part of a project team. His management of IT projects includes the implementation of ERP systems such as Aristote and Sati.
