Before joining Quantexa, Issam held various significant roles in data management and engineering. He worked at IBM as Principal Data Advisory Lead for Data & Technology Transformation in Australia and New Zealand from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, he was the Director of Solution Engineering & Architecture at Hitachi Vantara in Sydney from 2019 to 2020 and served as an Enterprise Solutions Architect at Zaloni in Dubai in 2017.

Issam Hijazi has a diverse educational background. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Jordan from 2005 to 2009. He then completed a Graduate Certificate in Machine Learning & Computer Vision at The Australian National University in 2021.
