Work at Rambus
Currently, V Alok serves as the Manager of Design for Test (DFT) at Rambus, a position he has held since 2023 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. In this role, he drives DFT technical readiness and defines the DFT strategy to align with Rambus requirements. He leads the product DFT architecture for all Memory Interface Projects at Rambus Chip Technologies. His responsibilities include working with the team to establish DFT quality control processes and ensuring high-quality DFT delivery to meet 'first-time-pass' silicon goals. Additionally, he supports critical post-silicon debug and yield analysis as needed.
Previous Experience
Before joining Rambus, V Alok accumulated extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. He worked at Wipro Technologies as a Project Engineer from 2010 to 2011. He then joined Sankalp Semiconductor, where he served as a Design Engineer from 2016 to 2018 and later as a Senior Design Engineer from 2018 to 2019. Alok also held positions at IBM as a Support Specialist from 2014 to 2015 and at Cadence Design Systems as a Product Engineer from 2015 to 2016. His prior experience includes a significant tenure at Rambus, where he progressed from Senior Member of Technical Staff from 2019 to 2021 to Lead Member of Technical Staff from 2021 to 2023.
Education and Expertise
V Alok has a solid educational background in telecommunications and networking. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Telecommunication from PES University from 2006 to 2010. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) in Data Telecommunication Networking from The University of Salford in 2013. Earlier, he studied at Christ Junior College, achieving a Pre University College qualification from 2004 to 2006, and completed his 10th grade at St. Joseph's Boys High School in 2004.
