Previous Experience in Education
Prior to her current role, Nobles held several positions in educational organizations. She worked at ReadWorks as the Senior Director of Teaching & Learning from 2019 to 2020. Before that, she was the Partnerships Director at Digital Promise from 2017 to 2019 and served as a Senior Manager of Strategic Outreach at the same organization from 2016 to 2017. Additionally, she was a Curriculum Developer at The MY HERO Project from 2003 to 2008.
Educational Background
Nobles has a strong academic background in education. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Composition and New Media from Old Dominion University between 2010 and 2016. She also holds a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Commonwealth University, which she completed from 1996 to 1999. Her undergraduate studies were at Duke University, where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from 1989 to 1993.
Teaching and Leadership Experience
With over 20 years of experience as a K-12 teacher and administrator, Nobles has a comprehensive understanding of the education sector. She has also contributed to teacher education as an adjunct instructor at Relay Graduate School of Education from 2018 to 2020. Her extensive experience in both teaching and educational leadership informs her current work in promoting effective learning strategies.

Nobles is actively involved in initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion, particularly through her membership in the WomenTech Network since 2023.
