Prior to this, he was a Research Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the Trace Gas Biogeochemistry Group at the University of New Hampshire from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, Dorich served as a Field Technician at the Alaska Peatland Experiment (APEX) and as a Green Roof Technician at the University of New Hampshire Environmental Research Group.
Educational Background
Christopher Dorich earned a Master's degree in Earth Sciences with a focus on Geochemical studies from the University of New Hampshire between 2011 and 2013. His master's thesis compared greenhouse gas emissions between organic and conventional dairy systems in New Hampshire. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of New Hampshire, which he completed in 2011. Furthermore, he participated in the EcoQuest study abroad program in New Zealand, where he wrote a senior thesis on lizard populations on Motuihe Island.
Research Experience
Christopher Dorich has engaged in various research projects throughout his career. During his time at the University of New Hampshire, he worked on a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) summer internship program focusing on carbon fluxes in Alaskan peatlands for the Alaska Peatland Experiment. He also gained practical experience as a Field/Lab Technician with the University of New Hampshire Forest Ecosystem Group.
