Tia Kansara has an extensive educational background. She studied at The University of Tokyo, where she focused on Japanese language studies from 2005 to 2007. She earned a BA in Economics with South Asian Studies from SOAS University of London between 2001 and 2005. She completed her PhD in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability at UCL from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, she is pursuing Executive Programs in Blockchain Strategy at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and at MIT Sloan School of Management.

Tia Kansara has made significant contributions to sustainability and architecture. She commissioned Foster+Partners for the Saudi American Bank's headquarters, becoming the first woman to judge a LEED platinum building in Saudi Arabia. She also pioneered the first ISO-certified sustainable lifestyle consultancy in the UK. Furthermore, she hosted the UN’s pavilion at COP, showcasing her leadership in global environmental events.
