Her experience at the university laid a strong foundation for her subsequent career in technology and science communication.

Experience in Animation and Media

Engstrom worked as a Technical Assistant at Lucasfilm Animation from 2012 to 2013, where she gained experience in the animation industry. She also served as the Director of Emerging Media Technologies at the Knoxville Film & Music Festival from 2013 to 2014. In these roles, she facilitated media coverage and oversaw podcasts and hosted talks, showcasing her ability to blend technology with media and communication.
