Seven Years as a Targeteer
Bryon Kroger spent seven years working as a targeteer. During this period, he experienced significant frustration with the poor quality of the software being used. This dissatisfaction motivated him to cross-train into acquisitions, seeking to improve the tools and systems he worked with.
Co-Founder and COO of Kessel Run
Bryon Kroger was one of the three co-founders of Kessel Run. He served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for two years. His role included leading acquisitions, development, and operations for the enterprise-scale software lab. Under his leadership, Kessel Run was instrumental in defining DevSecOps for the Department of Defense (DoD).
Separation from the Department of Defense
Bryon Kroger made the decision to separate from the Department of Defense due to his frustration with the bureaucratic path hindering the scale of his team's success. He sought to continue his mission of innovation and transformation in a different capacity, leading to his establishment of Rise8.
