Matty Yohannan is Chief of Staff to CEO Marc Ganzi at DigitalBridge with a focus on advancing key growth initiatives and strategic projects. He sits on both the DEI and ESG Steering Committees, serves on the Board of Mexico Tower Partners and is part of the founding team of the DigitalBridge Ventures platform. Matty brings 25+ years of experience in sourcing, structuring, investing and raising capital across industries, geographies and asset classes - and has completed 70+ transactions, raising and investing over $3 billion in capital. He joins DigitalBridge from Deacon Arch Partners, a family office merchant bank that he founded and capitalized. Prior to Deacon Arch, he was a Managing Director at ShareNett, a family office investment platform founded by Jim Pallotta (Raptor Group), where he led the origination and investment efforts and was a Member of the Investment Committee and Management Committee. Matty invested in and produced “Newlyweeds” - the debut feature film from Shaka King (Judas and The Black Messiah - 6x Oscar-nominated) which was selected to and sold at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. He has served as Investor/Advisor to: Exer Labs, Encantos, FilmHedge, Fin VC, Innervation Finance, Misfits Gaming, Roasting Plant Coffee, Salido and SoFi. Matty spent over fifteen years as public and private markets investor with a focus on Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT), including TMT Sector Head on the founding investment team at Charter Bridge Capital, a sector-focused long/short equity fund that he helped grow from $25M to $300M+ in AUM in less than two years, and as Portfolio Manager at both Balyasny Asset Management and Visium Asset Management. Prior to business school, he was a Senior Associate in the Private Equity Group at Robertson Stephens. He began his career in the Structured Products Group at Bankers Trust Securities. Matty earned his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business with a Certificate in Public Management & Social Innovation, and graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Finance & Economics from the Stern School of Business at NYU. He is an Alumnus of the SEO Career Program, a Toigo Foundation Fellow, a Finalist for the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans and a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10k Small Businesses Program for Roasting Plant Detroit. He currently serves as a Board Member for the BUILD Institute in Detroit.
