About Justin Iii Edward Modesto, Ma

I am the Deputy Secretariat Director of the Foundation for Information Technology Education and Development (FIT-ED). I manage the research outputs on DL4D, as funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), as well as the new global coalition on Teacher Professional Development (TPD) at Scale for the Global South. I am also the Managing Director of Strategia Development Research Institute, Inc. (SDRI), a Philippine nonprofit organization focused on providing policy research, capacity building, and technical assistance in various social and economic development areas. Previously, I was a consultant for USAID STRIDE (RTI), for the instruction, research, and sectoral engagement grants for the K to 12 Transition Program at the Commission on Higher Education of the Philippine government. I worked with a team of project technical staff in administering and managing grants for deloaded faculty and non-teaching staff (from policy to implementation and evaluation) during the K to 12 transition period (2016-2021). Prior to that, I worked as a Research Manager for the Stephen Zuellig Graduate School of Development Management of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). I managed funded research on various economic and social development and management topics. I do freelance instruction for Microsoft Excel. I am a researcher, editor, and management consultant. I have edited several publications for AIM and SEAMEO INNOTECH. I finished my Masters degree in International Political Economy and Development at Fordham University in New York. I finished my Bachelors degree in Management Engineering, Minor in Economics at Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City, Philippines.
