Before becoming a Senior Member Of The Technical Staff, Vinh Dang worked at Sandia National Laboratories as a Postdoctoral Researcher from 2018 to 2019. During his tenure as a Postdoctoral Researcher, he was also based in the Albuquerque, New Mexico Area, where he began making impactful contributions to the field.
Academic and Research Experience
Vinh Dang has an extensive background in academia and research. From 2015 to 2018, he was a Research Associate at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. Additionally, he served as an Associate Editor for the Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES) Express Journal from 2015 to 2018 in the Washington D.C. Metro Area. Before that, he was a Part-time Lecturer and Research Assistant at the Department of EE&CS, School of Engineering, The Catholic University of America between 2010 and 2015.
Education and Qualifications
Vinh Dang studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at The Catholic University of America and earned a Ph.D. from 2010 to 2015. He also holds a Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City, achieved between 2004 and 2006. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, Vietnam, from 1998 to 2003.
Research Interests
Vinh Dang's research interests span several areas, including automata processing, data mining, compressive sensing, high performance computing, electromagnetic scattering and inverse scattering, radar imaging, numerical methods for electromagnetic problems, and biomedical image processing. These areas of interest underline his diverse expertise and contributions to the fields of computer science and engineering.
