Before that, he held Plant Manager positions at both Jefferson Elora Corporation (1997-2003) and Kraft Canada (1994-1997). Domerchie began his career at Procter & Gamble, where he served as Manufacturing Engineering Manager from 1985 to 1994.
Educational Background
Lionel Domerchie attended the University of Waterloo, completing his studies in two phases. Initially, he studied from 1981 to 1985, followed by an additional year from 1987 to 1988. His academic background provided a strong foundation in engineering and management practices, preparing him for a dynamic career in diverse industry roles.
Specialized Expertise
Lionel Domerchie has specialized expertise in Lean Methods, Total Productive Maintenance, DMAIC initiatives, and Early Management of Capital investments. He is certified in DMAIC Green Belt and has undergone training in Black Belt methodologies. His hands-on experience with Toyota's Production System (TPS) has equipped him with strong skills in high-performance work systems. Domerchie is also proficient in Commissioning Qualification Validation (CQV), QS-9000, HACCP, and ISO14000 standards. His technical know-how extends to MS-Project, Mini-Tab, and MS-Office applications, as well as robotics and high-speed automation/packaging.
Project Leadership and Management
Lionel Domerchie has led the design definition, early management methods, construction, and start-up of both green-field and re-engineered manufacturing facilities, products, and processes. His project leadership skills are complemented by his expertise in recruiting and employee development, as well as his ability to manage communication and media relations.
