Aislin Reynolds completed a GIS-based senior honors thesis at The University of Kansas, resulting in departmental honors. Their research has a particular focus on the Tangra Yumco rift located in south-central Tibet. It integrates various methodologies such as geologic mapping, igneous U-Pb geochronology, (U-Th)/He thermochronology, and thermo-kinematic modeling. This work is part of an NSF-funded project aimed at understanding the cycles of collision, uplift, and exhumation in the Himalaya-Tibet orogenic system.
Achievements
While at Johnson County Community College, Aislin Reynolds graduated with Dean's Honors and was a member of the JCCC Honors Program. Reynolds earned a high school diploma at the age of 16, showcasing their early academic capabilities.
