Ryan Marcante serves as the Head of Strategic Asset Allocation at SEI in Oaks, Pennsylvania. In this role, he oversees SEI’s goals-based models and funds of funds across the US, Canada, and offshore markets. He is also responsible for managing portfolios for a diverse client base, which includes endowments, foundations, defined benefit pensions, defined contribution retirement plans, private banks, ultra-high net worth investors, and Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs). Additionally, he is involved in the construction and maintenance of target date funds and ETF managed accounts.
Experience as Portfolio Strategist
Before his current position, Ryan Marcante worked as a Portfolio Strategist at SEI from 2017 to 2022. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in pricing options trades and monitoring volatility markets. He was also a member of SEI’s Active Asset Allocation Committee, where he was responsible for developing the firm’s macroeconomic views and implementing tactical trades to adjust portfolios according to market conditions.
Role as Analyst: Alternative Investments
From 2015 to 2017, Ryan Marcante held the position of Analyst: Alternative Investments at SEI in Oaks, PA. In this capacity, he contributed to the firm's investment strategies by measuring active risk in SEI's funds and creating financial models. Early Career and Education
Ryan Marcante began his career at SEI as a Project Manager from 2013 to 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from Lehigh University, which he completed between 2009 and 2012. His strong educational foundation in finance and economics has been instrumental in his professional development and subsequent roles at SEI.
