Previous Experience

Prior to her current role, Hannah Dawson worked at Islamic Relief Worldwide as a Regional Programmes Officer from 2018 to 2021, where she focused on initiatives across the Middle East, North Africa, and Eastern Europe. She also served as a Graduate Project Officer at the Humanitarian Academy for Development in Khartoum, Sudan, for four months in 2018. Her earlier experience includes working as an International Development Researcher at the Global Development Institute in Uganda and as a Graduate Trainee at the Humanitarian Academy for Development.

Education and Expertise

Hannah Dawson holds a Master of Science (MSc) in International Development: Poverty, Inequality and Development from The University of Manchester, which she completed from 2016 to 2017. She earned her undergraduate degree in Geography (Human) with First Class Honours from Cardiff University, studying from 2013 to 2016. Her educational background is complemented by A Levels from Oaklands Catholic School Sixth Form and 10 GCSEs graded A*-B from Wykeham House Girls School.

Disability Inclusion Projects

Hannah Dawson has extensive experience working on disability inclusion projects across six countries, including Bangladesh, Jordan, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, and Tanzania. She has been seconded to various countries such as Sudan, Lebanon, Albania, Kosovo, and Turkey for development projects.
