His early career included a role as an English Language Assistant at the British Council in Kourou, French Guiana, from 2009 to 2010, and as a Debating Mentor at Debate Mate in London from 2008 to 2010.

Education and Expertise

Nick Thorne studied at Oxford Brookes University, where he completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Shelter After Disaster in 2012, focusing on Development and Emergency Practice. He also holds a BA Hons in International Relations and French and German from the University of Sussex, which he earned from 2007 to 2011. His foundational education includes studies at All Saints RC School York, where he focused on Politics, Ethics and Philosophy, French, and German from 2004 to 2006.
