About Doyeon Kim
I am a dedicated leader in building and scaling organizations, teams, programs, and partnerships. I am passionate about creating game-changing solutions for complex societal problems at the intersection of business, public, and nonprofit sectors to scale the impact. I have been selected as the How I Built This 2019 Fellow. What is important to me is how much I learn and achieve benefits others in my community and society. I love working with people who wrestle with social issues with curiosity, empathy, and perseverance. I learn the most when collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and I want to contribute. For the past decade, I have founded and nurtured two organizations in the US and globally - one for equity in education and the other for women's empowerment and DEI at work. I designed and launched social impact initiatives, oversaw large-scale programs, and collaborated with cross-functional teams. My early career in science and technology is an asset for bridging tech and non-tech teams and building multifaceted organizations. I find myself most valuable when I leverage my technical skills to streamline complex processes and systems and champion purpose-driven initiatives. I am grateful to meet with individuals and organizations committed to advancing equity and inclusion in the education and technology sectors.
