Alan Brand serves as the Project Portfolio Director for Europe at SITA. In this role, he manages regionally based teams of project managers, installation engineers, and third-party supply chains. His primary focus is on modernizing Air Traffic Management services. He oversees the delivery of over 250 Air Traffic Management assets for the UK Military under Project Marshall. Additionally, he is responsible for transforming the current Air Traffic Management capability into a modern, efficient, and world-class service at over 60 sites in the UK and overseas.

Alan Brand has held multiple positions at SITA throughout his career. He worked as a Business Consultant from 2005 to 2006 and later served as the Head of Professional Services from 2006 to 2007. He was also the Director of Communication Services for Northern Europe from 2008 to 2010. His extensive experience at SITA spans over a decade, contributing to various aspects of the organization’s operations and service delivery.
Career Background in Telecommunications
Before joining SITA, Alan Brand worked at COLT Telecommunications as the Head of Marketing from 2000 to 2005. He also held positions at BT, where he served as the Business Manager for Airline Interactive Services from 1997 to 1999 and as the Head of Wholesale Messaging from 1999 to 2000. His background in telecommunications has provided him with a strong foundation in project management and service delivery.
