He also served as a Technical Client Relations Manager at EMSS from 2003 to 2006. Clarke was the Managing Director at Magus Pty (Ltd) from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, he held Non-Executive Director roles at Alchemy-A and Sozo Labs from 2015 to 2019.

Sam Clarke has a strong educational background in engineering and business. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electronic Engineering from Stellenbosch University from 1997 to 2000. He then pursued a Master of Science in Engineering (MScEng) in Computational Electromagnetics at Stellenbosch University from 2001 to 2002. Clarke furthered his studies with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Cape Town from 2006 to 2007.
