Earlier, he was a Senior Software Engineer at 99X Technology from 2014 to 2015 and a Software Engineer at Exilesoft (Pvt) Limited from 2011 to 2013, both in Colombo, Sri Lanka. His career began with an internship at DirectFN in 2010.
Educational Background
Lasantha Bandara completed his G.C.E. A/L at Central College Kuliyapitiya, where he studied Maths, Physics, and Chemistry from 1997 to 2006. He achieved an impressive 166th Island Rank out of approximately 50,000 students in Sri Lanka for his G.C.E. A/L exams. He then pursued a B.Sc(Hons) in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Moratuwa from 2007 to 2011.
Technical Skills and Expertise
In his role at Smiths Detection, Lasantha Bandara utilizes a range of technologies including Docker Containers, Docker Swarm, and Kestrel Web Server. He employs Azure Application Insight Profiler to identify performance issues in systems and is involved in testing, debugging, diagnosing, and fixing errors in ASP.Net, JavaScript, SQL, and C# codes.
