Kate Bramson Deputy Executive Director
Kate Bramson serves as the Deputy Executive Director of Sojourner House, where she is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the organization. She supports the Executive Director in ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization, and actively promotes and supports the mission and strategic directions of Sojourner House. Since joining the organization in January 2024, Bramson has been an integral part of its leadership team.

Before transitioning to public policy, Kate Bramson enjoyed a 16-year career in journalism at The Providence Journal. For the final seven years, she focused on economic development and workforce issues. Bramson is particularly proud of an in-depth reporting piece about a rape in northern Rhode Island. This piece won the Dart Award for Excellence in Reporting on Victims of Violence and has been adopted as a teaching tool in schools across the United States.
