About Alex Barrie
My name is Alex and I have been an artist my entire life. I have always had a creative mind so when I went to college, I decided to pursue a career doing what I loved and earned my bachelors degree in design at Eastern Illinois University. As my career as a designer began to progress, I wanted to not only design my projects but have the knowledge and ability to build them out, so I decided to pursue web development after graduating. I was now able to design beautiful layouts and develop them too. As I learned more about web development, I became very interested on how people used websites and started learning analytics, website testing and UI/UX principles and best practices. My career quickly evolved into the hybrid Designer, Front End Developer, UI/UX Designer I am today. With almost 10 years of experience and a lifetime of creative knowledge, I love generating creative ideas and bringing them to life from beginning to end. I enjoy problem solving and thinking outside the box to find the best and easiest solutions to any problem that comes my way. Currently I am employed as a UI/UX Web Designer, but I'm always looking for a new ways to expand my creative ability.
