Chris Mimun has a significant academic background, having worked at The University of Texas at San Antonio in various capacities. He served as a Postdoctoral Researcher for five months in 2016 and was a Ph.D. candidate in Physics from 2010 to 2015. During his time at the university, he gained extensive knowledge in the chemical synthesis of nanoparticles and various characterization techniques, including MRI and SQUID.

From 2017 to 2018, Chris Mimun worked as a Research Physical Scientist at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) in Vicksburg, MS.
