I've played pivotal roles as the first sales hire (pre-seed) multiple times tasked with selling to Fortune 500 orgs (one successful exit and another from near zero revenue to $2x million while there) as well as led the highest performing sales teams for an award-winning (Inc 5000 #12) hypergrowth company with revenue growth from $1xM to $2xxM while there. I'm an outdoor enthusiast and just as I enjoy climbing mountains, I approach sales with a similar mindset. Scaling mountains can be challenging, but it's the dedication to the journey that counts. Being prepared from the start and a goal-oriented approach improves the win rate whether it's a summit or surpassing quota.
