About Andy Switky

Andy is the founder of Code Name Collective, a consultancy focused on the design of complex systems including healthcare and finance. He helps clients innovate around policy, regulatory, and social determinants to improve transparency, effectiveness, and outcomes. Prior to Code Name, Andy spent more than 16 years at the design firm IDEO, where he was an Associate Partner, Managing Director of Healthcare Design, Director of Manufacturing, and founder of IDEO Shanghai. Andy has practiced, taught, and coached Design Thinking to clients of all sizes in a wide variety of industries. By coupling Design Thinking with his deep experience in manufacturing and manufacturing systems he brings a unique operational perspective to the art of innovation: the best strategies and most innovative designs need organizations designed for launch and impact. Andy is a lecturer in materials and manufacturing at Stanford University's School of Engineering, and has also taught at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (the d.school) at Stanford. He is the holder of 20 patents and 17 patents pending.
