About Bridget Algee Hewitt

I am a human biologist and computational anthropologist with over 15 years of experience applying data science to human behavior and user experience questions within Business, Tech and Academic spaces. I am an accomplished research director and senior researcher. I am an active consultant, providing strategy, research insights, and action plans, in a variety of sectors, worldwide. I am an expert in cutting-edge quantitative and qualitative methods in user experience / consumer insights and data science. I drive business decisions by crafting personas and defining segments, discovering latent people and data behaviors, and tracking trends across markets and verticals. I am skilled in executing on and guiding teams through all stages of the research-to-strategy pipeline: from opportunity scoping and project design, to data collection and analysis, to synthesis of insights and delivery of recommendations, to design and implementation of next-step solutions, in collaboration with vendors, and business and product stakeholders. I have a proven track record in high-stakes project administration, international team direction, and tiered-program administration; experience as a boots-on-the-ground leader in community-serving and public-facing outreach, policy, and advocacy work; and a history of academic excellence as faculty and research scientist. I am a result-oriented but people-first leader with the demonstrated ability to easily translate data-driven research and user impact strategies into the language needed to drive the structural change desired across many different sectors. I have a track-record of empowering organizations and communities to reach the next level of performance, and guiding programs beyond the established benchmarks of success. I am an expert in DEI and, for service, I provide forensic casework oversight to the medico-legal community and expert testimony for asylum petitions as a consulting forensic anthropologist and geneticist. My social justice work focuses on immigration, displacement, poverty, and violence in Latin America, especially the crisis of deaths along the U.S.-Mexico border. I lead with vision, breadth and sensitivity. I can reach across the aisle to many colleagues and administrative partners. I can also meet the members of dynamic and diverse research communities with what they need, where they are, and to guide them to where they want to be as thinkers. See some examples of my (AI, Social Justice, Border-Crisis, NLP) research below. For publications, see https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3525-2131
