I believe in any professional setting, success derives from being able to work effectively and efficiently with those around you. Education and work are the most important places that can teach this skill and foster a teamwork environment. My experiences, both athletically growing up and professionally to date, have constantly exposed me to the importance of understanding and adapting to different group dynamics. Through life and work situations, I’ve learned the importance of adapting my attitude to fit the situation. I’ve learned when to lead and when to speak up, and that much of being a leader is learning how to listen. I’ve learned the importance of making sure each member feels valued, that openness to others’ ideas is crucially important, that positive energy is infectious, and that group morale is a powerful force. I thrive in these types of situations with my impeccable communication skills, positive nature, and desire to have everyone feel valued. I believe these are qualities that will have a positive impact not only on my personal career, but will benefit those around me.
