About John Whaley

I build stuff. I started programming at five years old and never stopped. I work in the broad area of computer systems, especially operating systems, virtualization, computer security, finding and avoiding software defects, algorithms, performance, parallelization, concurrency, scalability, mobility, compilers, program analysis, programming languages, APIs, networking, protocols, system architecture, kernel development, IO performance, and data structures. I'm also into building great companies. I founded UnifyID and before that, Moka5. I'm looking to make an impact. I like to work on the hardest problems - the ones that people assume are impossible to solve.
