About Montgomery Fischer
I'm a software developer on the Cognitive Computing / Data Science team at Epic. Our team engineers data science solutions to improve healthcare at scale, for patients and practitioners alike. Before joining Epic, I studied mathematics (BS+MA) and computer science (BS) at the University of Georgia. I wrote my master's thesis on using deep learning to improve video quality, and have broader interests centered around probability, statistics, and optimization. As a student, I interned at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York to research systemic vulnerabilities in Fedwire (the major real-time gross settlement funds transfer network for US banks), and worked on options valuation models in an industry-academia collaboration at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
