Currently a project manager at Environmental Firm, Cardno now Stantec. Consulting for SCE projects, creating and implementing solutions and systems for staffing and support of Biologists out in the field. Managing communication with construction and client, enforcing permit requirements and SCE environmental compliance and protocol. Having a technical background managing qc technicians for Sony Pictures Entertainment, I would manage and assign work to a staff of up to 25 people. It was a very demanding position because, basically, every single department went through me to get each project through. I considered myself the hub of the digital authoring center. Managing a staff with all different types of personalities taught me a lot. I fine-tuned my managing style while at Sony and feel more than prepared to continue to manage staff, vendors, clients and any fires that may arise. I keep a calm demeanor and in turn, that keeps those around me calm. Even with my calm spirit, I am able make quick decisions to solve problems as they occur. I’m a person of my word and feel that co-workers can see that. I receive a lot of respect as a manager and generally, people come to me for answers. I’m right on top of every detail and tend to be very knowledgeable about each project that I supervise. That brings me to my most recent work experience, running a business. While I owned and operated Swirl Frozen Yogurt Bar for 5 years, I was able to learn all of the processes of operating a small business in the state of California. I maintained the accounting, inventory, ordering, managing of staff and customer service. I will continue to nurture my entrepreneurial spirit because I see the benefits that can bring to the corporate world. As manager of McBain Managerial, my focus is maintaining a strong relationship with my clients. Managing a staff of up to ten employees, I support my team respectfully, consistently and with admiration and gratitude. Creating a culture of loyalty, integrity, dedication and appreciation is a balance that I strive to maintain. As a life-long learner, I see each day as an opportunity to improve my skills and knowledge and hope this inspires others to go after their goals and achieve their best everyday.
