About Andrew Davis

As an independent, expert resource, Andrew works with a variety of banking, commercial and government clients around the world in areas such as corporate innovation frameworks, startup engagement, 'outside-in' thinking, business strategy and market development. He is also a mentor and advisor to a number of startups, within and outside of Australia. Put simply, Andrew brings an ‘outside-in’ perspective, coupled with strong, practical, international experience. Andrew has a strong international banking pedigree, having worked at HSBC and Citibank for more than 18 years covering Country, Regional and Global responsibilities. Most of that time was in roles spanning product management, strategy, innovation and market development, with a particular focus on the portfolios of corporate cash management, payments and digital financial services. Prior to leaving HSBC, Andrew was the Global Fintech Lead and understands the challenges of connecting the fintech ecosystem with large, complex organisations. He helped to design and implement the blueprint for Sydney's fintech hub, Stone & Chalk, resulting in HSBC being a founding corporate partner. Andrew has an intimate understanding of Asia, having lived and worked in Hong Kong for several years and more recently with Africa in his capacity as advisor to IFC, part of the World Bank Group.
