He currently serves as a Senior Advisor at letsbloom and SC Ventures by Standard Chartered in Singapore. Additionally, he is the Ambassador France2030 at Services du Premier ministre. He is also the Chairman of the Board at F24 AG in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. In Hong Kong SAR, he provides strategic advice as a Senior Advisor for Rothschild & Co and Gateway Private Markets, and serves on the Advisory Board at Chekk. David Gurle has held several significant leadership positions throughout his career. From 2014 to 2021, he was the Founder and CEO of Symphony in Palo Alto, CA. Prior to that, he founded and served as CEO of Perzo Inc. His tenure at Avaya as VP of Corporate Strategy lasted for seven months in 2012. He also served as General Manager for Skype for Business from 2010 to 2011 in Palo Alto, CA. At Thomson Reuters, he was the Global Head of Collaboration Services and later the Head of Sales and Trading Asia from 2003 to 2010.
Career Beginnings and Early Roles
David Gurle started his career as an R&D Engineer at France Telecom's CNET, where he worked from 1992 to 1995. He then served as a Technical Officer at ETSI in Sophia Antipolis, France, from 1995 to 1997. His career progressed as he took on the role of VP Strategic Alliances at VocalTec in Tel Aviv, Israel, where he worked from 1997 to 1999. He joined Microsoft in 1999, where he served in various capacities, including Product Unit Manager and Director of Program Management for the Real Time Collaboration & Communication Team, until 2003.
Educational Background
David Gurle holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications from ESIGETEL (École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Informatique et Génie des Télécommunications), where he studied from 1989 to 1992. His education laid the foundation for his extensive career in technology and telecommunications, contributing to his numerous leadership roles and innovative accomplishments in the industry.
