About James Abbott
James Abbott is a 21+ year veteran of software engineering in finance and medical industries. He has been brought into numerous organizations to build high performance teams, drive innovation and implement full agile practices. He brings a wealth of financial knowledge and a thirst complexity reduction. James has designed and built technology teams at Investment Banks, hedge funds and in the medical sector. He has the skills to go from business problem to design, build and operate. Most recently James has been working at Bank of America on automating the internal cloud. Enabling development, infrastructure and operation teams to model their business applications and control the network, infrastructure and application configuration through a single pane of glass. James was the original implementer of the graphics framework under Deutsche Bank’s FX Trading platform. This allowed for running applications to be patched without a re-start to the application. James was a key contributor RBS’s CDS/CDO analysis system in 2008 allowing the Bank to analyse and react to the CDS crisis. In his spare time he hikes, rides mountain bikes and attempts to summit Mt. Rainier.
