About Daniel Ungar
Daniel M. Ungar is a member of Jaffe's Electronic Payments, Corporate and Privacy and Datasecurity Practice Groups, concentrating his practice in intellectual property, corporate, and commercial law, with an emphasis on data privacy and security, digital payments, FinTech, technology licensing, and emerging companies/startups. Daniel previously served as a law clerk to Judge Mark A. Goldsmith in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Daniel received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was a senior editor and deputy technology manager for the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy. He was also a volunteer at Harvard’s Berkman Center for Internet & Society, which researches and advises on legal issues surrounding digital technologies. Daniel has also served as a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office in the field of cryptography, and he holds a Masters degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University. Daniel also handles alcoholic beverage licensing for his firm and holds a certificate in mixology from Harvard University.
