About Brian Sonoda, Cfp®, Cim®, F CSI®, Fma, Cpca®, Epc, Ris
Since 1981, I have helped individuals and their families navigate through the seemingly complex nature of investing and financial planning, by simplifying the approach into a customized and meaningful process. I focus on asking the right questions, then providing the appropriate solutions, thereby empowering clients to turn their dreams into reality. More than just basic investing, I am a firm believer in “life planning”, because life is so much more than just working and saving money. My primary duty as an Advisor is to understand my client’s needs and develop a plan that will speak to the key aspects of their life – their family, their work and career, their health and well-being, their home, their lifestyle and the legacy they wish to leave. Central to the issue of advice-giving is trust, and there is no compromise when it comes to dealing with clients’ life savings. Working one to one with clients enables me to get to know them personally and to act in their best interests when it comes to providing direction and advice. I work with a team of specialists within the TD Bank Group including banking, insurance solutions, estate planning and trust services and often refer clients to the appropriate expert when called upon. Born and raised in Hamilton, I graduated from McMaster University business school in 1978 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. I hold professional designations as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®), Financial Management Advisor (FMA), Elder Planning Counselor (EPC), Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (CPCA®), Responsible Investment Specialist (RIS) and a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®). I am also a holder of the Certificate in Retirement Strategy, the Certificate in Estate Planning & Trusts, and am able to help people with insurance strategy and estate products. /*********/ Information provided is intended for Canadian residents and does not constitute advice.
