He also holds the position of Academic Director at both the Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences and the Meenakshi College of Nursing. Achievements
Dr. Jena has published more than 170 articles in national and international journals, contributing to the body of knowledge in emergency medicine. He authored a book titled 'Clinical Toxicology – A Case Based Approach' and received the First Young Achievers award for Leadership in Emergency Medicine in India. Under his leadership, the Institute of Emergency Medicine at Meenakshi Mission Hospital received the best excellence award in Emergency & Trauma Care at CII for two consecutive years. He has also been recognized with the Academic Entrepreneurship Excellency award by the Indian Medical Association in 2021.

Dr. Jena is actively involved in various professional organizations. He has served as Honorary National Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Indian Medical Association since 2015 and as Regional Faculty for the American Heart Association since 2022. He is an Examiner for the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in the United Kingdom since 2015. Additionally, he was inducted as Secretary in the International Federation for Emergency Medicine Trauma SIG in 2018 and served as the Past President of the Indian Society of Toxicology.
