Her previous experience includes a consultancy role at the Hague Conference on Private International Law in 2013, where she focused on the Hague Child Abduction and Child Protection Conventions.

Melissa Kucinski authored a seminal handbook for the American Bar Association on representing children in custody and abduction cases. She has chaired various bar association committees on international family law and has been a member of the U.S. Department of State’s Advisory Committee on Private International Law. Additionally, she co-authored a text on international family law cases in U.S. courts for West Academic.
