Before her current roles at The Walters Art Museum, Angela Elliott worked as an Associate Objects Conservator at the Baltimore Museum of Art from 2009 to 2016. This position allowed her to gain significant experience in the conservation of art objects. Additionally, she served as a Post-Graduate Fellow in Objects Conservation at The Walters Art Museum from 2005 to 2008, further developing her skills in this specialized field.
Educational Background in Art Conservation
Angela Elliott holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Sculpture and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Art History, along with a Minor in History from Birmingham-Southern College, where she studied from 1996 to 2000. She furthered her education at the State University of New York College at Buffalo, earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) with a specialization in Ethnographic and Archaeological Objects, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Conservation from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, she completed courses in chemistry and art history at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2000 to 2001.
