Partha Dash has held multiple roles at ThoughtWorks since 2014. He began as a Senior Network Consultant, progressing to Network Consultant, and then served as Network Lead for India, Southeast Asia, and Europe. Currently, he is the Global Network Tech Lead, a position he has held since 2017. In these roles, he has been involved in significant projects, including the integration of the Envoy visitor management system with the MIST platform to enhance guest onboarding experiences. He has also worked closely with the MIST product management team to influence cloudification roadmaps and participated in beta testing initiatives.

Partha Dash earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha, from 2004 to 2008. His educational background provides a foundation for his expertise in network technology and management. Over the years, he has developed skills in cloud-managed networking, SDN-based wireless solutions, and remote user connectivity design, particularly using the SASE framework.

Background

Before joining ThoughtWorks, Partha Dash worked at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a Network Support Engineer from 2009 to 2010 and again from 2010 to 2012. His experience at TCS involved remote SSL VPN authentication and configuring firewall login authentication. This early experience laid the groundwork for his subsequent roles in network consultancy and leadership at ThoughtWorks.

Achievements

Throughout his career, Partha Dash has achieved notable outcomes in network management. He evaluated and deployed SDN-based wireless solutions, resulting in an estimated savings of $100,000 in operational expenses over three years across 40 offices. He also implemented MIST virtual Bluetooth low energy for indoor navigation and asset tracking, showcasing his ability to leverage technology for operational efficiency.
