He then moved to The Boston Consulting Group GmbH, where he worked as a Principal for nine years from 2001 to 2010 in Hamburg, Germany.

Patrick Buchmann has an extensive educational background. He studied Industrial Engineering at Technische Universität Berlin, earning a Dipl.-Ing. (Master) from 1991 to 1997. He also holds a Master in Finance from Bayes Business School, which he completed in 1996. He furthered his education by completing Executive Education programs at IMD in 2013 and Harvard Business School in 2016. These educational experiences have equipped him with the technical and financial expertise necessary for his leadership roles.

Under his leadership, the company has remained the largest independent supplier of undercarriages for construction and mining equipment.
