Current Role at Touchstone Exploration
Mark Bishop serves as the Lead Wellsite Geologist at Touchstone Exploration Inc. since 2021. In this role, he oversees geological operations at well sites, ensuring the accuracy of geological data and the effectiveness of drilling processes. Additionally, he holds the position of Geologist II at the same company, where he applies his expertise in geology to support various exploration and production projects.
Previous Experience at Touchstone Exploration
Prior to his current roles, Mark Bishop worked at Touchstone Exploration Inc. as Geologist I from 2013 to 2021. During this eight-year tenure, he contributed to numerous geological assessments and exploration initiatives, gaining valuable experience in the oil and gas industry.
Education in Geology and Petroleum Engineering
Mark Bishop earned his Bachelor's degree in Geology/Earth Science from The University of the West Indies, Mona, from 2009 to 2012. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, from 2015 to 2018. This advanced study provided him with a deeper understanding of petroleum systems and engineering principles.
Advanced Studies in Occupational Environmental Safety
In addition to his geology and petroleum engineering qualifications, Mark Bishop completed a Master of Science in Occupational Environmental Safety and Health at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, from 2012 to 2015. This program equipped him with knowledge in safety protocols and environmental management within the context of the energy sector.
