Previous Work Experience
Before joining Transamerica, Oliver Meyer held various consulting and accounting positions. He worked as a Consultant at Biolin Scientific Inc. for five months in 2015, and at Danfoss for six months from 2014 to 2015. He also served as a Senior Corporate Accountant at Chromalloy from 2010 to 2015. Additionally, he worked as a Consultant at Robert Half Management Resources for one year in the Baltimore area and had brief consulting roles at the City of Annapolis and Apex Tool Group in 2014. Earlier in his career, he was a Driver Helper at UPS in 2009.
Education and Expertise
Oliver Meyer has a strong educational background in business and accounting. He studied at Kaufmannische Berufsfachschule Basel-Landschaft, where he achieved the Eidg.Dipl. Kaufmann from 1987 to 1990. He then attended Oakland Community College, earning an Associate of Business Administration (ABA) from 1999 to 2002. He furthered his studies at Walsh College, obtaining a Master of Accounting (MAC) and Bachelor of Accounting (BAcct) from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, he studied English at Language Studies Canada in Toronto, achieving the First Certificate in English (FCE) and Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) in 1995.
Professional Responsibilities
In his current role at Transamerica, Oliver Meyer is the main contact for inquiries related to Non-Regulated legal entities, including Tax, Capital Strategy, and Reporting. He is responsible for the calculation of the Solvency Required Capital (SCR) for NRHC and reporting SII NRHC balances to Aegon Group through the Tagetik Financial Reporting System. He also oversees the Annual Solvency II QRT Reporting for NRHC and submissions in both Tagetik and Razor Financial Reporting Systems. Additionally, he assists in various financial systems User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
