Current Role at Transdev
Samir Hamdani serves as the Managing Director at Transdev since 2019. In this role, he has successfully managed company finances with a revenue target of up to 42 million euros. He oversees the maintenance of a fleet consisting of more than 260 vehicles and manages a team of up to 500 employees across multiple operational sites, including four different depots. His responsibilities include negotiating and managing existing contracts and preparing for future tenders in the public transport sector.
Previous Experience in Public Service
Prior to his current position, Samir Hamdani worked at the Ministère des Armées as a Senior Officer and Project Director from 2012 to 2019. He led projects focused on transitioning public service operations to meet evolving demands. His earlier experience includes serving as a Lieutenant and Business Unit Manager in the Armée de Terre from 2006 to 2008 and as a Captain commanding mountain troops from 2008 to 2012.

Samir Hamdani has an extensive educational background. He studied at Sciences Po, where he achieved a Master 2 (M2) in Management des politiques publiques from 2015 to 2016. He also attended EDHEC Business School from 2000 to 2004, focusing on Management, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Communication, Law, and Control Management. Additionally, he studied at the Académie militaire de Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan, earning a Master's degree in Management, Military Tactics, Strategy, and Stress Management from 2004 to 2005.

He worked as a Bord Agent at Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits et du Tourisme in 2000 and as a Financial Analyst at Gaz de France in 2003. He also served as a Commercial Analyst at Credit Agricole CIB in 2004 and as an Auditor at Ernst & Young from 2002 to 2003. These positions provided him with a diverse skill set that contributed to his later roles in management and public service.
