In May of 2020, my life changed forever when our 18 year old son was suddenly killed in a tragic accident at our home in Jackson Hole. There are no road maps for how one deals with the loss of a child. You don"t run down to the store and buy a book on this stuff. I was lost. It was like I had been dropped off deep in the jungle with no map.I had spent over 20 years driven by my career as a private equity investor, building dozens of companies, creating numerous funds, clinging to an internal narrative that one has to achieve to be worthy of love. Nothing made sense anymore and I was struggling. And just when I was about to give up hope, the universe reached out and reminded me that pain pushes till vision pulls. I was introduced by a psychologist to the healing powers of plant medicine. I went deep and I went far. I began to ask myself, why had I never heard of this type of medicine before and why is not part of main stream healthcare? I left my job and became a seeker. I traveled the world seeking out anyone who mentor me. Shamans, guides, healers, mentors and teachers. In the midst of all the tears, I found my smile again. When it was time to go back to work, I had to make changes. Integrated is a different type of investment firm. It is our contribution to transforming how we show up for one another. Our world is unwell and the systems and institutions we have come to rely on no longer serve us. We are committed to backing the next generation of entrepreneurs broadly focused on healing individuals, communities and hopefully, the planet. But it starts with the self, getting out of your head and into your heart. We are currently focused on a broad spectrum of transformative therapies, mental health solutions and care delivery models capable of transforming human consciousness. I have been humbled in this new journey. The entrepreneurial stories rooted in the human experience, the commitment to healing others, and the deepening of conscious consumer behavior. The tribe continues to grow. I know in my heart, that my son Stewart is walking this path alongside me.
