Work at Turing
Ellie Chio currently holds the position of Head of Supply Engineering at Turing, a role she has occupied since 2023. In this capacity, she led the development of a generalized event streaming infrastructure, which increased demand and supply lead generation throughput by ten times. Prior to this role, she served as Director of Engineering at Turing since 2022. During her tenure, she introduced key technologies such as Kafka, Grafana, and gRPC + Protobuf, and established the first observability practices, including monitoring and incident management.
Previous Experience
Before joining Turing, Ellie Chio worked at Google as a Staff Software Engineer and Engineering Manager from 2014 to 2022. She also held the position of Head of R&D and Director of Engineering at UCO.com in China from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, she served as Lead of the Shanghai Chapter for OWASP China from 2009 to 2010 and worked as a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft from 2007 to 2010.
