Jeffrey D. Hoff has served as the Head of Quant Execution Research at Two Sigma since 2009. In this role, he is responsible for managing and leading a team that includes Trading, Technology/Software Development, Quant Research, and Monetization teams. Hoff has contributed to PNL improvement and strategic changes within the organization. He has played a key role in expanding Two Sigma's shared primary trading desk into new regions. Additionally, he built Two Sigma's low-latency, co-located algorithmic trading platform from the ground up and released it globally, providing algorithmic trading, outsourced execution, and portfolio research to various trading groups.
Previous Experience
Prior to his current position at Two Sigma, Hoff worked at several organizations. He was an Applications Analyst at W. P. Carey for 11 months in 2005 in the Greater New York City Area. Following that, he served as a Technical Lead and Technical Consultant at Endeca from 2007 to 2009 in the Greater Boston Area. Hoff also worked as a Researcher at the MIT Media Laboratory for one year from 2006 to 2007, also in the Greater Boston Area. His diverse experience in technology and research has contributed to his expertise in quantitative execution.

Jeffrey D. Hoff studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2002 to 2006, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (SB) degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
