Rachael Borowy has been employed at the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) since 2016. Initially serving as a job developer and case manager, she has held this role for eight years in Arlington, Virginia. In 2019, she transitioned to the position of youth, education, and employment specialist, where she has worked for five years. In her current role, she focuses on supporting youth and facilitating educational and employment opportunities for refugees and immigrants.
Education and Expertise
Rachael Borowy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Elon University, where she studied from 2009 to 2013. She furthered her education at the University of Edinburgh, obtaining a Master of Science degree in philosophy, psychology, and language sciences from 2013 to 2015. Before her tenure at USCRI, Rachael Borowy worked for Aramark as a marketing team member for four months in 2012 while in Elon, North Carolina. This role provided her with experience in marketing within a corporate environment, contributing to her professional development prior to her focus on youth and refugee services.
