Denise Del Rosario has held various positions prior to her current internship at USGS. She worked as a Shift Leader at Cold Stone Creamery from 2015 to 2016 and as a Store Associate at Kirkland's for two months in 2018, both in Virginia Beach, VA. Additionally, she was a Crew Member at Yo Mama! Frozen Yogurt and Goodies for four months in 2016. Her experience also includes an internship at Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute, where she served as a Conservation GIS Lab Intern from 2020 to 2021, processing results in R and ArcMap for public dissemination.

Research Contributions

During her internship at USGS, Denise Del Rosario contributed to the assessment of pesticides and the characterization of groundwater in Pennsylvania’s triassic lowland hydrogeologic setting. She processed results that were published online for public access and communicated findings to participating homeowners via letter. Her work supports the understanding of groundwater quality and the impact of agricultural practices on local water resources.
