Tina Roberts Ashby earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where she studied from 1996 to 2000. She continued her education at the same institution, obtaining a Master's degree in Geochemistry from 2000 to 2002. Furthering her academic qualifications, she completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences at the University of South Florida from 2005 to 2010.
