Some may feel that my past jobs do not line up however, I definitely see a few through lines. 1. Research - all positions required vast amounts of research and finding people, information or things - which I love! You ask me about it, I will find it or learn it asap. 2. Organization - all position involved large amounts of information of which much was confidential (movie scripts, student records, credit card info, patient records). All information had to be stored securely but easily accessible to me and my co-workers. 3. Training - in all my previous positions, I became the default department trainer for new employees as it comes naturally to me. At WB, I trained new department employees as well as all the law school interns. At the maritime school, I had a staff of 22 that I trained so they could teach others how to row, kayak or paddleboard. And at MGB, I trained all new privacy analysts, including the current Brigham Privacy Manager! If you can teach a boat of 8 middle schoolers how to row on the open seas safely and confidently, can can teach anyone anything! Currently I am studying for the healthcare privacy exam so I can be certified because I really enjoy the Privacy field. I'm also looking to take a class in InfoSec because I find it super interesting, there is so much cross-over and it's the future!!! I love rowing, coffee and cats! My retirement dream is to live somewhere where I can row everyday and adopt senior cats to give them a happy rest of their life.
